1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CaseBuddy (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a law firm or organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
2. Service Description
CaseBuddy provides an AI-powered consultation widget that law firms embed on their websites. The widget conducts voice and text conversations with website visitors, extracts case-relevant information, generates summaries, and provides viability scores. The Service includes a dashboard for managing consultations and firm settings.
3. User Accounts
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its related systems.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
- Use the Service to collect information about individuals without their knowledge or consent.
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service without written permission.
5. Payment Terms
Paid plans are billed monthly or annually as selected at the time of subscription. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. The 30-day free trial provides full access to all features with no payment required.
6. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with applicable privacy laws, including obtaining necessary consents from website visitors who interact with the widget.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, and documentation, is owned by CaseBuddy and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your consultation data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data as necessary to provide the Service.
8. Limitation of Liability
CaseBuddy is a technology tool and does not provide legal advice. The viability scores and case summaries generated by the Service are AI-generated assessments and should not be relied upon as legal opinions. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CaseBuddy shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease and your data will be retained for 30 days before deletion, unless a longer retention period is required by law or requested by you.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
